How to Prepare for Pressure Wash Appointment

Over time, weather, air pollution, and wear-and-tear can cause a buildup of grime on outer surfaces at your home or business. These surfaces, plus driveways, garage floors, and walkways, can accumulate dirt, mildew, moss, and other pollutants, making them look dirty and unkept.

Professional pressure washing can remove the grime and make your home or business look like new in no time. All it takes is a phone call to book an appointment and a little preparation to ensure your property is ready for the professionals. Here are some tips for getting your property prepared for power washing.

Move and cover outdoor items

Remove any outdoor furniture, toys, or grills from the area to be washed. The force of the water coming from the pressure washer is strong enough to chip paint and break windows. Keep your belongings safe by moving them away from the washing area.

Check that all windows and doors are tightly closed

Make sure all doors and windows are closed and locked to keep water spray out. We are careful not to damage doors and windows, but we can’t keep water spray or drips out of open windows or doors.

Make sure pets and kids are safely out of the area

Ensure all children and pets are out of the area so they don’t get wet or run into the spray. Water spray may look like a sprinkler to young kids and dogs, but the force of the water can cause physical harm.

Make sure an external water source is accessible

We’ll need access to a functioning external water source. Before your appointment, check to be sure that it works and that nothing is covering or blocking it.

Close outdoor outlet covers

For safety reasons, please unplug extension cords and close the covers of your outdoor outlets. Electrical outlets and water don’t mix!

Give Your Property a Fresh Look!

Home or business, our professionals can erase the signs of exposure to the elements and give your property a fresh, clean look. You’ll be surprised what a difference power washing can make. Call us for a free estimate!
